Introduction

Thrift, honesty, and mutual help since 1985

Manipur Cooperative Savings & Credit Society Ltd. was founded by a small group of teachers and shopkeepers in Imphal who believed that ordinary people, pooling their savings together, could build financial security without depending on money-lenders.

Four decades on, that belief still guides us. We are registered under the Manipur Co-operative Societies Act and governed by a board elected by our own members. Every deposit is used to fund loans for other members, and every decision is published in our audited reports.

We remain a local institution with local accountability — our headquarters is in Imphal, our funds stay in Manipur, and our priority is always the financial well-being of our members.

We exist to serve members, not shareholders — because our members are our shareholders.
